Terror trial told of ‘fishing trip’

A TRIP to Eden by several men accused of terrorism involved fishing, barbecues and mud bogging, and there was no talk of either religion or politics, the Supreme Court heard yesterday.

Geoffrey Mark Hampton, 19, was on a fishing trip with his father, Alan Hampton, 44, and Duncan Powell, 32, when their boat sank on Saturday night.

One dead after boating accident

The deceased, a 19-year-old man, was on a fishing trip with hi s 44-year-old father and the owner of the boat, a 32-year-old man.

Fishing expert seriously ill

Millichamp contracted the rare bacterial infection necrotising fasciitis while on a hunting and fishing trip with friends on Stewart Island last week.
The Press understands Millichamp initially thought he was coming down with the flu when he began experiencing symptoms on Saturday. On Sunday he developed pain and stiffness in his shoulder and became increasingly concerned.
