Multiple sclerosis and renal disease patients will soon receive a subsidy for medicines costing up to $37,000 a year.

Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard says Kevin Rudd’s 18-day trip overseas has no bearing on whether drugs are added to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
