Gerry tackles minimum trip
James Fanshawe’s Sir Gerry will tackle the minimum trip for the first time in the Prix du Gros-Chene at Chantilly on Sunday after a late setback ruled him out of last week’s Temple Stakes.
The colt will be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy for the first time.
“But James is very pleased with my horse at the moment and this will put him spot on for his big summer target, the Golden Jubilee.
“Jamie Spencer is unfortunately serving a ban but Kerrin McEvoy rides him in some of his work so I am very happy we have got him.
