The week’s best bets for kids
“The Naked Brothers Band”: Nat and Alex Wolff, the Naked Brothers Band, head out on their first tour in their psychedelic-painted bus. The first stop is Cleveland, and the group sings “Body I Occupy,” a number off their latest album. Saturday, 7:30 p.m., NICK “George of the Jungle”: Twelve shows, or 24 cartoons, make up this all-day marathon starring the klutz in the jungle, who never does seem to watch out for that tree. Set in the Mbebwe tropical forest, George (voice of Lee Tockar) was raised by apes, something made obvious by his personal hygiene. He hangs out with Ape (voice of Paul Dobson) and Shep, his dog, which is actually an elephant. George is nothing if not consistently confused. Sunday, 11 a.m., TOON “The Wonder Pets!”: Not many preschool shows can boast a lineup of talent such as Lenie Colacino and Tom Teeley, of Broadway’s “Beatlemania,” who guest star in “The Wonder Pets Save the Beetles,” which pays homage to the Fab Four. Larry Hochman, who composed “Spamalot,” writes the music for this fun special episode in which the wonder pets travel to Liverpool to rescue a bug band, The Beetles, who are trapped in a yellow submarine. Monday, 6 p.m., NICK “Handy Manny”: Everyone gets into the helping-the-environment act on Earth Day as Manny (Wilmer Valderrama) and the tools clean up an art studio. They sort and recycle the plastic, glass and metal containers, and learn about solar energy when Manny hangs an electric sign. Tuesday, 8 a.m., Disney
