Kings continue road trip against Memphis
The Sacramento Kings play the middle contest of a three- game road trip when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at the FedExForum.
The teams have split a pair of games this season. The clubs have split the last four contests overall in the series. Sacramento has dropped four of its last five at Memphis.
Sacramento will host the Grizzlies on March 26 at ARCO Arena in the final meeting of the season between the clubs.
The Kings will wrap up the swing on Monday against the Rockets at the Toyota Center. On Friday, Tim Duncan scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs over Sacramento, 102-89, at the AT&T Center.
Ron Artest had 23 points in the loss for the Kings, who had a two-game winning streak halted. Kevin Martin added 20 points, while Anthony Johnson netted 12 in defeat.
Sacramento is 10-25 on the road this season. The Kings will visit the Houston Rockets on Monday at the Toyota Center.
Memphis opens a short two-game homestand. On Friday, Mike Miller scored 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Grizzlies to a 120-106 victory over the sagging New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Miller buried 7-of-11 three-point attempts and finished the night a torrid 12- for-16 from the floor overall, while Rudy Gay added 24 points and seven rebounds. The Grizzlies shot 52 percent as a team en route to a second win in their last three outings, and also snapped their 18-game road losing skid.
The Grizzlies will host Allen Iverson and the Denver Nuggets on Monday at the Pepsi Center. They are 12-22 at home this season.
