Camera karma: are these your missing snaps?

Update: The camera’s owners have
been found.
Dani Miller was walking past the monorail station at Sydney’s
Darling Harbour one afternoon in November when she spotted a small,
black camera bag on the brick pavement.
She picked it up and looked around for a tourist who may have
just dropped it. Surprisingly, for what is normally a busy area,
there was no [...]

Camera’s owners ‘tickled pink’ about find

It took less than three hours for us to track down the owners of
a digital camera that was lost in Sydney’s Darling Harbour last
year.
Bec Maskell, who works at the Yarra Ranges Shire Council on the
outskirts of Melbourne, contacted us just before noon today to lay
claim to the blue, Nikon Coolpix camera that she had dropped
outside [...]

M

The Katz family holidays traverse the alphabet to adhere
to the letter of the lore.
THIS summer we went on an M-holiday. On Monday morning we jumped
in the motorcar and headed out of Melbourne, up the majestic south
coast, passing through Marlo, Mallacoota, Merimbula, Moruya,
Mollymook, stopping at Mobil stations on the way to buy Mars Bars
and Big M’s, [...]

Back of beyond

Tired of overcrowded ski runs? If you’re an experienced
skier, the back country is waiting, Alex Guzman
writes.
When you venture beyond a boundary rope at a ski resort or
traverse directly into the back country, you’re accepting that the
regular rules don’t apply. There’s no need to sign an unconditional
waiver because out here there is no one to sue. [...]

On high ground

David Whitley does his bit for the environment in the
company of cute chicks.
The ranger removes the brick from the top of the wooden box and
lifts the lid. Huddled in the corner is a sight of such undeniable
cuteness that even the most emotionally stunted meat-head couldn’t
resist crumbling into a gushing “awwwwww!”
The two little penguin chicks are [...]

Bunnies ready to get back to business

They’ve tried their hand at gridiron, taken part in umpteen scenic tours and had a ball meeting the Florida locals.
Welcome to South Sydney’s `spread the word’ trip to the US which has been more Grizwold vacation than pre-season torture test.
But it’s down to business for the Rabbitohs this weekend when they have their first hit-out [...]
